Celebrate Galentine’s in Style: Visit a Unique Location Perfect for Friendship, Fun, and Unforgettable Adventures

Written by Kaelie Piscitello

Valentine’s Day is for the girls, and this year, all ladies should treat themselves to a well-deserved Galentine’s getaway! There is no better way to celebrate the season of love than by enjoying quality time with your best friends in a fun spot with a delicious beverage.

So sit back, grab a box of chocolates (’tis the season for fancy ones, of course), and pull out a notepad to start writing down some ideas for where the girlies can rejuvenate this February and celebrate sisterhood.

Napa Valley, California

There is no better place to visit with the girls than wine country! There are so many places in Napa where you and your friends unwind, sample some of the homegrown wines, and enjoy yourselves.

At Castello di Amarosa, you can kick back in a 14th-century castle made in the image of castles in old Tuscan wineries. In addition to traditional wine tasting, you and your girls can also tour the vineyard. Make a reservation to experience wine tastings and tours.

It costs $60 for a seated tasting experience, and many choose to add the flagship cabernet sauvignon tasting for an extra $25/person or do a cheese and charcuterie pairing for an additional $38. If the girlies want a more immersive experience, you can take the Diamond estate tour and wine tasting for a $75 fee. Consider a luxury tour and tasting if you can afford more money.

You and the girls can also have a spa day outside the vineyards! Napa has a plethora of spas, and some of the top-rated top-rated ones include Stretch Lab, a stretching facility that helps you regain mobility and feel good, and Glow Skin and Body Care.

Participate in a Napa Valley Balloon Ride and ride in hot air balloons with coffee and pastries. You can also take a private flight if you wish. Rember t explore the Napa Farmer’s Market and sample fresh fruit for lunch too! It opens rain or shine all year from 8-12 every day.

Nashville, Tennessee

People know Nashville as a fantastic girl’s trip destination, and while bar hopping is fun, you can do more than that! For an outdoor experience, trek through Cumberland Caverns. Oftentimes, people will host live performances in the caves, so you can stumble across a show without meaning to!

The caves offer walking tours of different modalities. For example, the discovery walking tour has a nature-focused trail with moderate difficulty and steep hills. Visitors can also take a mountain history walking tour or a hidden gems walking tour. There are varying times and prices; you must book some in advance. If you have more experience hiking, take an adventurous tour and crawl through the caves! These range in difficulty and price and make a unique experience. You can also stay in the caves overnight for a memorable evening.

For history lovers, Nashville has many old houses to tour, including the Cheekwood Estate and Gardens. This beautiful estate once belonged to Leslie and Mabel Cheek, and you can learn all about them. You can also stop by Fontanel Mansion to get your fill of historical homes.

Remember to sample craft-brewed beer from Yee-Haw Brewing Company. Yee Haw Brewing Company has unique beer garden locations around the south and offers delicious lunches and fun events. Of course, for nightlife, Broadway Street is the central part of town for the live country music shows. Don’t miss out!

Key West, Florida

Everyone loves relaxing in Florida, and Key West is the prime spot. On this peaceful getaway, you and the girls can engage in many water sports, including a diving experience to see the wreck of the Cayman Salvager. Government authorities sank this ship in 1985 to make an artificial reef, and today, it sits 10 miles long with varying depths.

Do the girls like to fish? Then, explore Key West with a deep-sea fishing boat and hunt for marlin, sailfish, dolphin, and tuna. Don’t worry. If you do not enjoy fishing, you can watch it aboard a party fishing vessel instead. That said, you can also rent a private boat for fishing or a day of sailing out on the water. Many people also elect to go dolphin watching from a vessel here.

Palm Springs, California

Palm Springs is another part of California that will be an excellent spot for your girls’ trip. It has numerous hiking trails in several parks that appeal to people with skill levels. Ruth Hardy Park, for example, has tennis courts, and Demuth Park offers beautiful picnic spots and paths. You can also see the Indian Canyons in Palm Springs. All four have different attractions. For example, Palm Canyon has Indian art and artifacts, books, jewellery, pottery, and cultural history, while Andreas offers more hiking opportunities.

If you don’t like exercising, consider taking the aerial tram up the mountain. Furthermore, on one Tram Road, you can take one of Palm Springs Springs’ most popular tourist attractions, the gondola, to view the city from above.

If the girls want a dose of history, tour Native Palm Springs to learn more about the Agua Caliente tribe from California. While you’re there, experience their hot mineral springs at Spa at Sec-he in the plaza. This resort has several men’s and women’s bathhouses with mineral pools, a tranquility garden, and a fitness center.

Savannah, Georgia

Looking for a cutesy getaway? Savannah sits in an Idyllic, picturesque southern town with colonial houses around the original settlement. The area has many local boutiques with charm and spunk, including Madison & 5th, Red Clover, and Savannah Belle Boutique.

Savannah has lots of history that you can learn about it in the Historic Landmark District. The Historic Landmark District stretches 24 squares wide and hosts 20 museums, shops, and restaurants.

This district also has several places to see live entertainment and many tours. You should also walk through the Victorian District, or “Savannah’s original suburb.” It has 50 blocks of Victorian architecture and gives everyone their fill of beautiful architecture to gaze at. Beyond the history, rooftop bars and the beach remain open year-round. Tybee Island is the coastal beach town right next door and has many beautiful beaches.

During your trip, take a picturesque riverboat cruise and experience a unique way of exploring Savannah. Savannah also has great bikeable paths, so rent a bike and get your workout in while traveling.

Hot Springs, Arkansas

Yes, Hot Springs has exactly what you think it would. In the Ouachita Mountains, explore Hot Springs National Park and see Bathhouse Row to learn about the history behind the springs. You can take a self-guided tour of Fordyce Bathhouse from 1915 and enjoy the hot springs and north mountain trails accessible from downtown. The water here is so fresh that you can fill up water bottles on Fountain Street from a clear spring.

While you’re here, enjoy one of the three spas and soak in the springs. Take the Hot Springs Trolley to ride around town with mountain views. On this trolley, the driver narrates the sites for you. Don’t forget to stop by Superior Bathhouse Brewery, the first brewery in the national park.
